1957 Threepenny Necklace – Choice of Birthstone

This necklace is handmade using a 1956 threepenny bit (brass an steel) minted by the London Royal Mint sixty years ago. The coin was in general circulation until 1970 in Britain.

The coin itself has been sterilised, cleaned and polished by hand, before being drilled and strung on a gold vermeil bail (gold vermeil is sterling silver plated in 9ct gold).

A charm of Swarovski crystal and freshwater pearl has been added and is available in any combination by selecting from the drop down menu when purchasing.

The chain is also made of gold vermeil and measures 18inches in length.

The threepenny is 21mm in diameter and 2mm deep.

The charm is made of a 4mm freshwater pearl and 6mm Swarovski bicone.
