This necklace is made using an real British sixpence, which has been cleaned and polished by hand and strong on a sterling silver pinch bail.

The charm is made of sterling silver, with a beautiful potato freshwater pearl and Swarovski Crystal element birthstone combination, which is detachable, so you can wear the design with the coin only or coin and birthstone.

The chain is a snake chain (solid sterling silver, 1mm thick) with a lobster clasp fastening and measures 18inches in length.

Each sixpence was created in different quantities and metals by the Royal Mint, so price does vary. Available are:

1942 – 1946 sixpences – Half silver and half copper nickel

1947 – 1948 sixpences – All copper nickel

The findings that are attached to the coin are all solid sterling silver.
